A networking session/dinner of the Akhuwat Foundation was held today at a local hotel under the patronage of the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi. The event was attended by a large number of Pakistani professionals including doctors, professors, businessmen and social workers. Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib, Founder/Chairman of Akhuwat Foundation along with his team graced the event as the Chief Guest.

Akhuwat Foundation is a non-profit welfare organization working for wellbeing of the needy people with an objective to alleviate poverty in the society by empowering the socially and economically marginalized segments through interest-free microfinance and education. It strives to develop and sustain a social system based on mutual support where each individual lives a life full of respect and dignity. Presently around 700 centers of Akhuwat Foundation are engaged across Pakistan round the clock in service of the people. Besides Pakistan, the foundation has its roots in different countries around the world including the United States of America, United Kingdom, Sweden and Canada. The foundation is also jointly working in collaboration with its counterparts in Uganda, Nigeria and Afghanistan.

Speaking on the occasion, the founding Chairman of Akhuwat Foundation Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib briefed the audience about his journey towards establishment of the foundation. He underscored that how Akhuwat started its operation by giving very minimal interest-free loans to few needy people, the number of which is presently in millions. He highlighted the Akhuwat Foundation’s vast network operating inside Pakistan and abroad as well, rendering its services in various fields to the deprived people and families including microfinance banking, education, health, agriculture and infrastructure.

Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi in his remarks thanked the Founder and Chairman of Akhuwat Foundation and his team for gracing the event with their attendance. He lauded the hard work of Dr. Saqib spanned over two decades; and the beneficial services of Akhuwat Foundation in bringing the underprivileged segments of the society as equal to the well-to-do people. He said that the foundation has been striving hard to make the needy people stand on their own feet. He congratulated Dr. Saqib on the successes of his foundation. Ambassador Tirmizi appealed the audience to come forward and extend their valuable support to the Akhuwat Foundation its worthy cause.
