Digitalisation of economy will be a game changer for Pakistan. Tirmizi
Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Envoy to United Arab Emirates (UAE) highlighted the scope of digitising financial transactions and urged Pakistani diaspora to adopt legal banking channels for sending remittances back home. The Ambassador was speaking at the launch of KuickPay-online payments services provider platform during a ceremony held at the Embassy today.
“Using digital solutions for financial transactions brings ease to customers and users. In my view digitalisation of economy will be a game-changer for Pakistan. He strongly urged community members to use formal banking channels for sending remittances and while making all sorts of financial transitions that will ensure transparency and support our national economy.
The founders of Kuickpay Mr. Saqib Ali Kazmi and Mr. Arbab Ali Khan gave a detailed briefing on the services offered through their digital solution. They said that Kuickpay UAE App is launched to facilitate Pakistan expatriate community in the UAE along with general public in the country. This will enable the users to pay UAE bills along with Pakistani bills using their UAE issued cards.
Ambassador Tirmizi said that the Embassy was making all-out efforts to facilitate Pakistani community and such initiatives are encouraged for their ease and assistance.
This event was attended by people belonging from banking sector in the UAE, members of Exchange Companies, MENA Fintech association and other distinguished guests.
