4.       To encourage and promote the remittance through banking channels.

5.       Implementation of Foreign Exchange Remittance Card (FERC) Scheme announced by Government of Pakistan.

6.       To forward the application of Pakistani expatriates for issuance of Police Clearance Certificate.

7.       To facilitate the transportation of dead bodies of Pakistanis /settlement of death compensation and issuance of no objection certificate.

8.       To provide necessary assistance to Pakistanis in UAE’s prisons.

9.       To keep liaison with the local police and immigration authorities to settle the community’s problem.

10.   Pursuance of blood money/delayed dues of Pakistani workers.

11.   To recommend cases of financial assistance for destitute Pakistani expatriates.

12.   To make arrangements of community functions /meetings on behalf of the Embassy.

13.   Regular visits of prisons and labour camps.

14.   To forward the applications of expatriates for issuance of OPF Membership cards.

15.   To forward the applications of expatriates for settlement of their grievances in Pakistan.

16.   To arrange the transportation of Pakistani patients to Pakistan who cannot travel at their own.

17.   Handling of passports, received from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad for cancellation of residence visas by the sponsors.

18.   To provide necessary assistance to Pakistanis in UAE’s prisons.

19.   To keep liaison with the local police and immigration authorities to settle the community’s problem.

5.      Embalming Certificate (Original + Photocopy)

Documents to be produced by relatives/ friends of deceased in the UAE.

Please Note:

1.      Dead body should be delivered at the Cargo Section minimum 4 hours prior to departure of flight.

2.      All Arabic certificates to be translated in English.

3.      Unaccompanied coffins required an advance confirmation from destination.

4.      Accompanying passenger should hold a confirmed ticket.

OPF Pension Scheme is a voluntary and self contributory, and offers conventional. Islamic Plans. Pension contributions are received on Lump sum or Annual payment basis at the convenience of the members.

Salient Features

·         No age restrictions for becoming members.

·         Option to purchase more than one unit.

·         Time based maturity for pension payments

·         Pension payments continue for the life and beyond (family and children). On final termination of the plan, the

              Principal amount and the profit (if any) would be returned to rightful owner.

·         Immediate payment of pension in case of death or total disability (Not available for Islamic pension plans)

·         Option for withdrawal from the scheme any tie before and after maturity

 

Premature Encashment

Subscriber may terminate his/her pension plan with OPPT any time before or after the maturity. He she will be refunded the total contribution including profit, after deduction of service charges.

All Overseas Pakistanis are eligible to apply existing pension plans.

How the Pension Scheme works?

OPF Pension Scheme is voluntary and self contributory, and offers different pension Plans. Pension contributions are received on Lump sum or in 4 installments within a year.

Salient Features

·         Option to purchase more than one unit.

·         A single Lump sum or 4 installments with in a year contribution will be paid by the member at the beginging of the plan.

·         Pension payment would be started when the member attain the age of 60 years.

·         In case if the member dies before the maturity, his or her Nominee will receive a lump sum amount of Rs.300,000/- or the balance in member’s account, whichever is higher would be given.

·         If a member survive till maturity (60 years of age), he or she will be allowed to en-cash up to 50% amount for life of the member and after his death, pension would be payable to his/her Nominee for life and thereafter the children till the children attain 18 years of age.
